Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution for one of its key products. By migrating to the open-source system Superset, the organization aimed to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held several project meetings with the client to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Using this information, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of each report type. The consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to optimize the use of Superset and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the implementation team. After optimizing the data store and pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To facilitate the requested data presentation, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the customer's organization to support ongoing maintenance of dashboards and reports. The project remains ongoing and has been well received by both the client's business unit and its end-users. To highlight the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and client bases.
