Superset Consulting Requirement
A prominent financial services firm sought to transition from an industry-leading BI solution in one of its core products to an Open Source system (Superset), aiming to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables
NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture to meet the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended several modifications to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation, such as drill-down features.
Outcome
The consultants have been constructing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer's organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well-received by both the customer's business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded to include more products and end clients.
