Microsoft Power Platform: Apps, Automation, and Governance Training Course

This instructor-led, live training delivered in South Korea (either online or onsite) is designed for business staff, managers, developers, and data analysts who wish to adapt, implement, integrate, and manage Microsoft Power Platform components and features within their organization.

By the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

• Build simple applications with Power Apps to create custom solutions for everyday business needs.
• Automate workflow processes using Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) to minimize manual and repetitive tasks.
• Create data reports and dashboards with Power BI to generate insightful analytics for the business.
• Build chatbots using Power Virtual Agents to automate and resolve common customer inquiries and issues.

This course provides a foundational understanding of Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate, and Power Apps, with a high-level overview of Power BI. The curriculum is based on a real-world scenario I previously handled manually for an employer. We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor tasks associated with new home construction, storing the data in SharePoint for simplicity. Additionally, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how to enable bots within Microsoft Teams, guiding users to documents scattered across various SharePoint sites, such as loan agreements, budgets, and sales contracts. These bots are particularly valuable for HR and IT teams in addressing repetitive inquiries. Furthermore, you will learn to configure straightforward flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from specific senders (in our example, inspection reports organized by the bank). We will also explore other simple flows that save data from Microsoft Forms back to SharePoint, establishing fully automated processes using the Approvals app in Microsoft Teams. After completing the app, bot, and flow, the final step involves creating a simple Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table containing the most recent completed tasks every two weeks to a designated recipient (the bank in this example). This report will request a drawdown, including the completion dates and budget amounts for those tasks, all collected via the app. Please note that this course is high-level. While I recommend using ChatGPT for more technical aspects, such as coding or formulas in Power Apps, this topic is covered in the course. I will demonstrate how to effectively utilize ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
